Salesianum senior Justin Molen is the Player of the Year and heads the All-State boys basketball team released Friday by the Delaware Sportswriters and Broadcasters Association.
The 6-foot-6 senior averaged 14.9 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists in leading the Sals (15-9) to the championship game of the DIAA Boys Basketball Tournament.
Molen is joined on the first team by Howard senior De’Mere Hollingsworth, Seaford junior Brent Ricketts, Tower Hill junior Dean Shepherd and William Penn senior Gabriel Valmond.
The All-State team is selected through voting of all of the state’s head coaches and selected media who cover Delaware high school basketball frequently.
