RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Severe thunderstorms left flooding and damage in their wake after battering the central Virginia area Tuesday.
Heavy rain and winds brought significant damage to the region Tuesday, Jan. 9, causing widespread flooding which blocked major roadways.
The storms also caused power outages for thousands of residents across the state. Several Richmond-area school districts will open on a two-hour delay Wednesday, a full list of closures can be found here.
