Crash on I-95 causes 4-mile backup, delays in Richmond


RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A vehicle crash on Interstate 95 caused delays for drivers in the city of Richmond Friday morning.

The crash was first reported around 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 29 and was located on I-95 North near the Arthur Ashe Boulevard exit.

According to VDOT, the north interstate exit was narrowed. At one point, there was also a 4-mile-long backup.

Around 10 a.m., VDOT reported that the scene was clear and all lanes had been reopened.
