HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) – Police pulled over a vehicle on Interstate 95 in Hanover County and learned the two people inside were wanted for crimes, leading traffic to back up near the Doswell exit Friday morning as they were taken into custody.
The incident temporarily closed the southbound right lane and shoulder around mile marker 96, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
State troopers pulled a vehicle over in the area and learned that the two people inside were wanted, Virginia State Police spokesperson Sgt. Jessica Shehan told 8News in an email.
The two people were arrested “without incident” and the scene has since been cleared.
