Vaibhav Taneja, the current Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) of Elon Musk’s Tesla, will also act as the company’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
The development follows the resignation of Zachary Kirkhorn, who served as Tesla’s finance chief for the past four years, and won the reputation of ‘master of coin’ over a period of time, according to Press Trust of India.
Before SolarCity, the 45-year-old’s professional experience includes a tenure at ‘Big Four’ firm PricewaterhouseCoopers. At the PwC, he served for a whopping 17 years up until March 2016, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Kirkhorn, however, will continue to work at Tesla to assist with the transition through the end of this year, according to a filing related to the matter at the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
Tesla’s profit margins were also better than expected. They, however, remained smaller than last year due to declining prices for its vehicles.
