Two years after a 23-year-old man was shot and killed in a Dover-area barbershop, a second man has been charged in his murder.
Jesean Coverdale, 19, of Milford, was charged with murder and conspiracy for the May 15, 2021, shooting of Javon Jones at Uplift Barber Shop, located at 1534 Governors Ave.
According to police, Coverdale and a second man − Kyree Robinson − entered the barbershop at about 5:40 p.m.

After entering through the shop’s front door, police said, Robinson or Coverdale − detectives haven’t said which man they believe to be the shooter − fired several shots at Jones, hitting him in the upper torso. The two then ran, police said.
There were other people in the barbershop during the shooting, but no one else was injured, police said. Jones was rushed to a nearby hospital where he died.
