A 33-year-old man has been charged with the fatal shooting of 37-year-old Dennis Davis in Wilmington on June 11, the Wilmington Police Department announced Tuesday.
Police said Deontay Willingham was indicted by a grand jury on charges including first-degree murder on June 20 and was arrested for an unrelated charge in Pennsylvania on July 5. He was formally arraigned in Delaware on Friday.

Davis was shot by Willingham on the first block of E. 23rd St. at about 2:15 p.m. on June 11, according to police. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died. Police have not yet released any motive behind the shooting.
In addition to first-degree murder, Willingham has been charged with murder during the commission of a felony, first-degree robbery, three counts of possessing a firearm while committing a felony, possession of a firearm by a person prohibited and carrying a concealed deadly weapon.
He has been incarcerated at Howard R. Young Correctional Institution after failing to post a $1.5 million bail.
