One person was killed and five others, including two children, were injured Tuesday afternoon in a two-car crash in Wilmington, police said.
Wilmington Police Department officers were called to West 4th and North Dupont streets just before 5 p.m. for reports of the crash. There, they found a woman “believed to be in her 20s” critically injured and five others also hurt.
The woman was rushed to the hospital, where she later died. Police said they are “working to confirm the victim’s identity and make all necessary notifications.”

The five others injured included: a 32-year-old woman, a 27-year-old woman, a 26-year-old woman, a 10-year-old boy and a 3-year-old boy. Police did not say how the crash occurred. They also did not detail who was driving the cars or what type of vehicles they were.
There is a light at the intersection where the crash occurred.
