A 20-year-old man was killed in a crash involving three vehicles near Bridgeville on Friday night, according to Delaware State Police.
At around 11:53 p.m. Friday, police said, a 2021 Jeep Wrangler was traveling west on Seashore Highway, west of Woodenhawk Road. At the same time, a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was traveling east on Seashore Highway approaching Woodenhawk Road – with a 2013 Dodge Avenger following behind, according to police.
Police said the driver of the Jeep crossed the double-yellow center lines for “unknown reasons” and sideswiped the Silverado. The Jeep then continued in the lane until it crashed into the front of the Dodge car, which caused the Jeep to overturn and the Dodge to spin on the road, according to police.
The 20-year-old man from Charleroi, Pennsylvania, who was operating the Dodge, died after being taken to a local hospital. His parents, also from Charleroi, were in the Silverado, according to police, and uninjured.
