After a viral post, the missing World Series ring from a longtime worker at the Houston Astros’ ballpark has been found.
Janie Arredondo posted on Facebook June 18 that the missing ring belonged to her friend’s dad, who has worked at Minute Maid Park, home of the Houston Astros, for 23 years. While working at the Father’s Day game, the man took off his ring to wash his hands and received a call for assistance.
He realized the ring was missing about 20 minutes later, but when he went to check where he left it, it was already gone.
“His Father’s Day was ruined,” Arredondo wrote on Facebook.
World Series rings are not only reserved for players on the winning team. It’s up to the individual teams to decide, but employees and staff can also receive them.

On Monday, Arredondo updated her original post and said because of the thousands of shares it received, someone came forward. Arredondo said she will update the post again once his ring is returned.
