Delaware State Police and other responders are investigating after a serious accident closed both directions of Route 40 between School Bell Road and Buckley Boulevard near New Castle, Thursday, Feb. 17, 2022. The accident was reported about 8:30 p.m. in the area of the Afton Motel.
