A man allegedly stabbed a GameStop employee before stealing money from the cash register on Tuesday, according to Bellevue police.Bellevue police officers responded to GameStop for a robbery around 1 p.m. Tuesday, and found a male employee with multiple stabs wounds. The employee told officers that a male suspect came into the store, assaulted him and stole an unreported amount of money from the cash register. The employee, identified by Bellevue police as 34-year-old Chris Digiacinto, was transported to Nebraska Medical Center.After an investigation, officers said they were able to identify the suspect as 25-year-old Calvin Joe Wakefield. About four hours after the incident, detectives found Wakefield near South 41 Street and Bartmann Drive in Bellevue. The suspect ran from officers but was taken into custody after a short chase.Wakefield was booked at the Sarpy County Jail for robbery, second-degree assault and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony.The investigation is ongoing.
