Unfortunately for those still holding out hope that they may still collect, the winner of the $2 million pot has finally come forward.
A 36-year-old woman from Newark turned out to be the lucky ticket holder, Delaware Lottery announced Thursday.
The ticket holder purchased a two-play Powerball ticket with Power Play for the Feb. 25 drawing and was “completely shocked” when she found out her lucky picks matched all five white numbers with a 3X Power Play, resulting in the $1 million prize doubling to a total of $2 million before taxes, according to a statement from the Delaware Lottery.
