A 25-year-old man, who was struck by a mid-size SUV outside of Wilmington’s city limits last week, died over the weekend from his injuries, Delaware State Police said on Tuesday.
Joshua A. Stepler, of Felton, was walking Wednesday in the southbound lanes of South Heald Street (Route 13) when he crossed the roadway about 9:20 p.m.
After crossing the roadway, police said Stepler continued walking south in the road’s northbound left lane.
At the same time, police said a 2014 Kia Sorento was northbound in that lane when it hit Stepler.
Stepler, who was taken to an area hospital in critical condition, died Saturday.
