Severe thunderstorms are possible late Saturday afternoon and evening as strong winds begin to pick up through Delaware.
The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm watch Saturday afternoon that covers Delaware and parts of Maryland, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The watch is in effect until 8 p.m.
Brief tornados and damaging wind gusts are possible Saturday afternoon, according to NWS.
In Delaware, the National Weather Service said showers and thunderstorms were likely at 5 p.m. Winds of 20 and 30 miles per hour are also possible, the NWS predicts.
