Everyone’s got a favorite.
The state recently made transactions using what’s called a PCard — a special Visa funded and monitored by the state that’s only available to employees on the state’s payroll — publicly available. Analysis of money spent by state agencies excluding school districts shows where cardholders tend to spend their money on food, and how much. The data does not show what specifically was ordered.
Here’s a breakdown of each state department’s favorite places to order food, based both on the amount spent and how many orders are placed.
