Multi-vehicle crash on I-95 causes delays, 2-mile backup in Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 is causing significant delays for drivers in Chesterfield County.

The crash first occurred around 6:15 a.m. on Monday, March 6, and is located on I-95 South near the Woods Edge Road exit.

According to VDOT, the south left shoulder, left lane and center lane have all been closed. Shortly after 6:30 p.m., it was reported that there was a 2-mile-long backup.

According to Virginia State Police, three vehicles were involved in the crash. There were no reported injuries and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
