Milford incumbents to serve another term; election canceled

Milford’s City Council election has been canceled this year due to a lack of candidates.

Incumbents Daniel Marabello (Ward 1), F. Todd Culotta (Ward 2), Nirmala Samaroo (Ward 3) and Jason L. James Sr. (Ward 4) were the only candidates to file nominating petitions and, per the Delaware Code, will be automatically reelected.

They will be sworn in Monday, May 1, 2023, at the city’s 6 p.m. annual organizational meeting.

The terms of Milford’s four other council members, Michael J. Boyle (Ward 1), Andrew P. Fulton (Ward 2), Brian C. Baer (Ward 3) and Katrina E. Wilson (Ward 4), expire next year, as does the term of Mayor Arthur Campbell.
