Philadelphia Eagles player indicted in 2019 Guernsey County, Ohio rape

An offensive lineman for the Super Bowl-bound Philadelphia Eagles has been indicted in connection with a 2019 rape in Guernsey County.

Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost announced the indictment in a press release on Wednesday morning.

Joshua Sills, 25, has been charged with one count of rape and one count of kidnapping, according to the indictment. The charges stem from an incident that occurred in December 2019 in which a woman alleged she was forced to engage in non-consensual sexual activity with Sills.

The offensive guard is originally from Sarahsville in Guernsey County.

Yost said the incident was immediately reported to the Guernsey County Sheriff’s office and a “detailed investigation” was conducted.
