Eagles vs. 49ers NFC Championship game tickets will sell out in minutes

PHILADELPHIA − Eagles fans, are you ready to show up at the crack of dawn to the Lincoln Financial Field parking lots, set up your tailgating equipment, then pack the stadium, and yell until your voice goes hoarse?

Well, you’ll get your chance beginning Tuesday at 10 a.m. when tickets to the NFC Championship game between the No. 1 seed Eagles (15-3) and No. 2 seed San Francisco 49ers (15-4) go on sale.

But that chance will last for only a few minutes because the limited supply of tickets will sell out quickly.

After that, you’ll have to head to the secondary ticket markets, and perhaps take out a second mortgage to afford it. As of Sunday night, the cost of an upper-level ticket was going for $700 on Stubhub.

The winner of the game between the Eagles and San Francisco 49ers on Sunday at 3 p.m. will reach the Super Bowl on Feb. 12 in Glendale, Arizona.

And the Eagles are expecting the atmosphere to be as good or better than what they experienced Saturday night in their 38-7 win over the New York Giants. The Eagles are playing in their first NFC Championship game since Jan. 21, 2018, when they beat the Minnesota Vikings, also by 38-7, to advance to the Super Bowl.

The Eagles beat the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl, the only Super Bowl victory in team history.

Eagles cornerback Darius Slay was playing in his first-ever NFC Divisional Round game in his 10-year career Saturday night, and he loved every second of it after experiencing the raucous Lincoln Financial Field crowd.

“That (stuff) was electric. That (stuff) was mind-blowing,” Slay said after the game, adding a loud yell. “That (stuff) was lit. This is (what) I live for. This is my type of game. So I went out there, like, ‘Damn. I felt like all 80,000 of us was playing together.'”

In reality, Lincoln Financial Field seats just under 70,000 fans, but it certainly sounded much louder.

Tickets can be purchased online only at Ticketmaster.com. There is a four-ticket limit per household, and all tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to the high demand, fans are encouraged to log on to Ticketmaster right at 10 a.m., as there is a very limited quantity available.
