A group of New York Giants fans are planning to make the 90-mile trip down Interstate 95 and set up shop across the street from The Linc in Philadelphia for Saturday’s playoff matchup against the Eagles.

As anticipation grows for the 8:15 p.m. NFC Divisional Round game between the archrivals, a Giants tour group is planning an excursion to South Philly by welcoming fans on an overnight trip to the City of Brother Love with tickets to the game and an invitation to an indoor tailgate at Xfinity Live!, according to a report by Crossing Broad.
“Hit the road with Big Blue and experience an exclusive, top of the line VIP Travel Package experience like no other,” read an invitation from the tour group, Big Blue Travel.

Situated at the corner of Pattison Avenue near the stadium complex, “South Philadelphia’s premier dining and entertainment destination,” as stated by the Xfinity website, is usually jammed packed with Philly fans during playoff games. So opening the door to a large group of Giants fans could create an interest situation aside from the game.
This will be the fifth playoff matchup between the NFC East foes, with each team having two wins apiece. The most recent was a 2008 Divisional Round game, which saw the Birds come out on top 23-11.
The Eagles beat the Giants in Week 16, 48-22. They beat them in Week 18, 22-16.
Vikings fans try to takeover the Rocky statue
This isn’t the first time fans of a visiting opponent invaded Philly before an Eagles game.
During the team’s Super Bowl run in the 2017 season, a large group of Minnesota Vikings fans donned in purple and gold gathered on the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art and performed their “skol chant” before the two teams faced off in the NFL Championship game. They also dressed the nearby Rocky statue in Vikings attire.
The move did not age well, as quarterback Nick Foles and the Eagles would go on to a decisive 38-7 win over the Vikings before defeating the New England Patriots 41-33 in Super Bowl LII.
