Thief climbs onto roof, falls through ceiling while breaking into Oklahoma City restaurant


YEAH. THE THIEF MANAGED TO CLIMB THIS LADDER. AND FROM ROOFTOP SOMEHOW GOT THROUGH THE AIR DUCT CELL INSIDE THE STORE AND THEN TOOK OFF WITH MERCHANDISE. BUT I HOPE WE’RE NOT BEING TARGETED. IN THIS VIDEO, YOU SEE THE TILES OF THE CEILING AT OFF THE HOOK FALL THROUGH AND BOOM, THE ROBBER FALLS THROUGH. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME SINCE THIS SUMMER THE BUSINESS HAS BEEN BROKEN INTO. I WAS ON MY WAY HOME AND I GOT A CALL FROM COX AND THEY WERE TELLING ME THAT THREE OF MY SENSES WAS GOING. SO I IMMEDIATELY KNEW THAT WAS WRONG. THE CALL WAS TOO FAMILIAR SINCE ANOTHER BREAK IN WIPED OUT JUST MONTHS AGO, AND THAT GUY GOT AWAY WITH EVERYTHING AND WE STILL HAVEN’T RECOVERED ANYTHING. WE DON’T KNOW IF IT’S THE SAME GUY OR A DIFFERENT PERSON, BUT HOPEFULLY THEY’LL GET CAUGHT. THIS TIME, THE ROBBER GOT AWAY WITH ELECTRONIC TABLETS. THIS TIME WE WERE. WE WERE A LITTLE PREPARED. WE HAD THE SAFE BOLTED. WE BEEFED UP OUR SECURITY. AND EVEN IN THIS MOMENT, THE OWNER OFFERING COMPASSION. IF YOU NEED SOME HELP SOME MONEY. YOU KNOW WE DON’T MIND YOU CAN COME AND PICK UP TRASH OR EVEN HIRE YOU. EVERYBODY’S, YOU KNOW. AND OFF THE HOOK THEY PLAN ON OPENING TOMORROW IF THEY GET THE CEILING FIXED. The thief climbed a ladder Wednesday night to get on top of Off the Hook near Interstate 235 and Britton Road, got in through the air duct and fell inside before taking off with electronics.

Surveillance video shows tiles falling from the ceiling before the suspect crashed to the ground.

“I was on my way home, and I got a call from Cox. And they were telling me three of my sensors were going off,” Off the Hook owner Loniesha Tempson said. “So, I immediately knew something was off.”
