A two-car crash involving a New Castle County Police patrol vehicle closed part of the intersection by the 76ers fieldhouse in Wilmington Wednesday morning.
The wreck happened a little before 10 a.m. between a police SUV and a silver Honda sedan. Both vehicles were damaged, though the Honda’s was more significant.
Two women stood on the sidewalk near the wreck, one of whom cradled an infant. She said the other woman had been involved in the crash. That woman spoke on the phone, tears in her eyes.
