A shooting in northwest Wilmington’s Ninth Ward neighborhood injured three people Wednesday night, according to city police.
The three gunshot victims are a 22-year-old man and a 31-year-old man, both of whom were sent to the hospital in critical condition, and a 22-year-old woman, who was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
The shooting was reported at about 11 p.m. Wednesday in the first block of W. 27th St., near the North Market Street corridor.
Wednesday’s shooting is the same block where four people were wounded by gunfire less than three weeks ago.
Three men, ages 25, 34 and 41, and a 43-year-old woman were shot at about 11:15 p.m. on that block on Aug. 20. The 34-year-old man was reported to be in critical condition. Police would say only that the others were stable.

Wednesday’s triple shooting means 85 people have been shot, 12 fatally, in Wilmington this year.
Wilmington police continue to investigate Wednesday’s shooting and said further details will be released as they become available.
