A 40-year-old woman from Villanova, Pennsylvania has died after being hit by a car while crossing Foulk Road on Saturday afternoon in Wynnewood, Delaware State Police reported. Her identity has not yet been released.
State police said that the woman was crossing Foulk Road north of Naamans Road outside of the crosswalk at 12:06 p.m. on Saturday and entered the path of a blue 2005 Toyota Camry, which was driving north on Foulk Road. The front right of the Camry hit the pedestrian, according to police, causing “serious injuries.” She was taken to the hospital where she later died.

The 51-year-old driver of the Camry was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured. Police said the road was closed for about two hours, and the incident is still under investigation. A Delaware State Police spokesperson said information about the incident was not released for three days because officers were confirming details with detectives.
