17-year-old shot multiple times Monday night in Laurel: Police



Police are investigating after a 17-year-old male was shot multiple times Monday night in Laurel.

The Laurel Police Department and Delaware State Police responded to the area of Hollybrook Apartments around 10 p.m. for a complaint of shots fired. The victim had suffered “numerous” gunshot wounds, police said, from an unknown suspect.

The victim was taken to a hospital by EMS. His condition is unknown, but Laurel Police Lt. Tyler Bryan said he is alive.

The incident is Laurel’s third shooting in a little over a month.

A man was shot following a “large fight” at Bryan’s Bowling Center April 8. No arrests have been made. 

One day prior to the bowling alley incident, 49-year-old Frank Pavlovic was found shot to death in his driveway in the 18000 block of Laurel Road. Two men have been charged with his murder.
